Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to enter into a contract?

Usually not. We believe flexibility is the key to an open, honest and professional relationship. That said, government, large business or individual jobs that attract a substantial monthly momentary service amount usually attract some form of contract or formal engagement.

What suburbs do you service?

We service the Brisbane CBD and it's inner and outer suburbs. For a complete list of suburbs we currently service please see the list at the bottom of this page.

Is there anything you don't clean?

Unfortunately, currently there are some work areas that we do not clean such as residential houses (non-ABN related), commercial kitchens and rain water tanks. If you are unsure just give us a call on 1300 780 410.

How often can you clean?

We can clean from multiple times a day to once a month and anywhere in-between.

When do you clean?

At a time convenient for you, whether it be during business hours or after-hours, though sometimes we may need to permanently slide your requested start time forwards or backwards to efficiently link up with our other jobs in your area.

Do you supply restroom consumables?

Yes, we do. We monitor the usage rate of your consumables and deliver them to you only when needed, eliminating issues associated with under and over-stocking. We also keep in stock commonly used consumables ensuring we never run out when you need them most.

How much do you charge?

Due to locality, type and finish of the site, cleaning requirements and frequency of service we do not quote based on a rate per hour or rate per square metre as it would be an advantage in one instance and a disadvantage in another. Instead, we tailor our quote to the specific qualities and requirements of your site.

When and how often do I need to pay?

Invoices for regular ongoing services (being a service which is completed at-least once a month) are issued monthly on the last day of the month of service with a 14-day net payment period. All other invoices are issued immediately following service with a 7-day net payment period.

How can I pay?

Payments can be made either by cheque or electronic funds transfer (EFT). Please note that unfortunately, cheques handed to our cleaner(s) is not an accepted form of payment.

Can I change aspects of my service at any time?

Yes, you can. We are very understanding of the need to change from time to time the cleaning specifications. Whether it be the addition or subtraction of a cleaning duty, a full re-hash of cleaning duties due to a major renovation or the need to increase the number of services per week due to an increase in staff numbers, we change to your requirements.

What happens if a service falls on a public holiday?

If your scheduled service falls on a public holiday, we will contact you in advance and confirm your desire to either slide the service forwards or backwards one day, cancel the service or continue with the service at an appropriate public holiday rate. Should a number of holidays fall within the same period (like the Easter public holidays) we may need to dictate the day(s) of service only due to the fact that a compressed timeframe reduces our ability to cater to everyone's wishes.

Can we meet the cleaners before they start?

Absolutely. In fact, we prefer to bring the cleaner(s) around to see you beforehand. Doing so not only allows you to meet the cleaner(s) before they start but it also allows us to show them through your site beforehand. The term we use internally for this is a "Site Familiarisation".

How do we communicate with the cleaners?

In the past, customers and cleaning companies communicated with each other through the use of a "Communications Book". This was a paper book left in a location known by both parties to leave messages for each other. Unfortunately, over time the book would occasionally be misplaced, lost or even worse, its contents be misinterpreted or completely misunderstood. Here at Q CLEAN we believe an electronic, traceable and accountable system supersedes the old paper system. Therefore, any and all communication required between you and the cleaner(s) should be directed to our office where it will be quickly interpreted, repackaged and sent in a form easily and clearly understood by our cleaners.

What happens if the cleaners can´t access the site?

99% of the time, if we are performing a service during business hours, we would expect someone to be there upon our arrival. If we are scheduled to perform your service outside of business hours (IE: After-hours) then we would have been issued in advance the necessary items to access the site such as keys, swipe card and alarm codes. If for any reason we are unable to access your site (EG: Malfunctioning lock, malfunctioning alarm system or external personal threat to the cleaner(s)) then that service would be skipped. (PS: At times, a second attempt to access the site may be attempted). Our failure to access your site would be conveyed in an email for your consumption at a time convenient for you. Note: Depending on the circumstances, a "Nil Access Fee" may apply. Where agreed, we often try to perform the missed service the following day or evening, whichever is applicable (but only after confirmation that any malfunctions have been rectified).

What happens if I have a problem with the cleaning?

If you have a problem with the cleaning, then please do contact us directly and as soon as possible via telephone or email. Failing to contact us or by delaying your contact with us severely limits our ability to identify clearly and succinctly the issue, how to rectification it and how to put in place a trigger to prevent it from happening again. Should an issue been reported, depending on its severity, it may either be rectified immediately or on the following scheduled service. If negligence is evident, our rectification is to be expected. Depending on the type of issue reported, action ranging from rectification and re-training may be applied, a partial refund may be given or at its worst case, a new Q CLEAN cleaner allocated.

Do you offer a free trial period?

Unfortunately, we do not offer a free trial period. Just as you work hard for your money, so do we.

How do we finalise our services?

In the absence of a contract or formal agreement, should the need arise to finalise our services, a professional and courteous time frame is appreciated. Usually 7 - 30 days. Communication for the finalisation of services via telephone is accepted though email is always the preferred option. This allows for the movement of open and accurate information needed to seamlessly finalise any and all of our services, whether it be the scheduling of exit cleaning services such as carpet steam cleaning and window cleaning or the detail required to secure your site and where, when and who to hand the keys back to.
